MetroArchaeo 2021 will have the following awards, which will be announced and bestowed at the Conference Closing Ceremony.
Best Conference Paper Award
This award recognizes the most outstanding paper presented at MetroArchaeo Conference.
The author of the awarded paper, and co-authors if any, will be entitled to:
- A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
- The announcement of their achievement on a special conference webpage.
Basis for Judging: A selection committee will be appointed by the MetroArchaeo Awards Committee Chairs. Papers are judged based on technical merit, originality, potential impact on the field, clarity of the written paper, and quality of the conference presentation.
Presentation: The award will be announced and presented at the MetroArchaeo Closing Ceremony.
Best Paper Presented by a Young Researcher
This award recognizes the best paper authored and presented by a researcher younger than 35 years in age.
The author of the awarded paper, and co-authors if any, will be entitled to:
- A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
- The announcement of their achievement on a special conference webpage.

This award recognizes the best paper authored and presented by a woman.
The Best Paper Presented by a Woman is sponsored by IEEE Woman in Engineering - Italy Section Affinity Group and Fondazione Bracco.
The author of the awarded paper, and co-authors if any, will be entitled to:
- A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
- The announcement of their achievement on a special conference webpage.

This award recognizes the best paper presented as a Poster.

Best Live Demonstration Award
This award recognizes the best Live Demonstration.
The presenter of the awarded demo, and co-presenters if any, will be entitled to:
- A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
- The announcement of their achievement on a special conference webpage.
