Best Paper Award
The Best Paper Award will be selected on the basis of the review process and on the paper presentation during the congress. The final assessment and selection criteria will be based on several key parameters, including: technical quality of the paper, authors' knowledge of the field, presentation effectivesess and clarity, engagement in substantive question & answer, etc.
Please note that the paper must be presented by one of its Authors.
Best Student Paper Award
The Best Student Paper Award will be assigned to a paper presented by a student (undergraduate/graduated/PhD student) on the basis of the review process and on the presentation during the congress. The final assessment and selection criteria wil be based on several key parameters, including: technical quality of the paper, authors' knowledge of the field, presentation effectiveness and clarity, engagement in substantive question &answer, etc.
Please note that the paper must be presented by one of its Authors.
Students interested in entering their paper in the Best Student Paper Award should indicate their intent by answering affirmative to the specific question during the online registration.
**Please note: If there are not at least 3 high quality papers in this category, no award will be given.
Best Poster Award
The Best Poster Award wll be assigned to a paper, which is presented as a poster. The poster must be presented by one of its Authors.
The Best Poster will be selected on the basis of the review process and on an interview (by unidentified judges) during the poster sessions. The judges will assess the quality and clarity of the poster, as well as the effectiveness of the presenter explanations to the poster viewers.
**Please note: If there are not at least 3 high quality candidates in this category, no award will be given.
Best Paper Presented by a Woman
An exclusive plaque will be given for the best paper authored and presented by a woman.
Best Paper Presented by a Young Researcher
Description: An award will be given for the best paper authored and presented by a researcher younger than 35 years in age.
Basis for Judging: Technical merit, originality, potential impact on the field, clarity of the written paper, and quality of the oral or other
presentation.
