IMEKO MetroArchaeo 2026 will be held at the University of Bari - Palazzo Ateneo.
Palazzo Ateneo is the historic main building of the University of Bari Aldo Moro and one of the city’s best-known academic landmarks. Facing Piazza Umberto I, it reflects early twentieth-century institutional architecture and hosts some of the University’s most representative spaces for teaching and ceremonial events. Historical accounts focus on the long planning and construction process that led to the creation of this major educational building, while documented in the public sources we rely on. Today, as the symbolic home of the University in the city centre, it offers a prestigious setting for conference activities and provides easy access to Bari’s main services, transport links, and cultural attractions.
